Handover of Model Classroom Block to Government College, Ughelli, Delta State
The virtual commissioning and handover of Model Classroom Block built and donated to Government College, Ughelli, Delta State was held on Thursday, 18 March 2021.
The Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege was represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr Otive Igbuzor. Delta Stateâs Commissioner for Basic & Secondary Education, Hon. Patrick Ukah stood in for the governor of the state, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa. Other attendees were members representing constituencies in Delta State at the National Assembly and top government officials.
Also present were representatives of Famfa, Star Deepwater, Equinor and NAPIMS. The event kicked off at 11:01 am with the recitation of Nigeriaâs national anthem. Mr Tom Akagbosu, Stardeep Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs (PGPA) presented a virtual tour of the facility at different stages of construction from the foundation stage up until when the projects were completed. He mentioned that construction works started in 2018.
Mr Yunisa Yahaya, GM Services, NAPIMS who represented NAPIMS Group General Manager, Bala Wunti reiterated the commitment of Agbami partners to providing assistance to various institutions throughout Nigeria in areas of education and health as part of their Corporate Social Responsibilities.
The Agbami partners in their various speeches re-echoed their stance on advancing Corporate Social Responsibilities to critical areas in the larger society where they are needed most and where there would be a greater impact.
Speaking on behalf of the Deputy Senate President, Dr Otive Igbuzor expressed the delight of his boss at the Agbami partnersâ magnanimous disposition to improve the education and health sectors of the nation.
In his remarks, the representative of the governor of Delta State, Hon. Patrick Ukah stated that the people of Delta State at large would not forget soon this kind gesture of the Agbami partners. He enjoined the management of Government College, Ughelli to put the facility to good use.
The vote of thanks was given by Mr Esimoje Brikinn, General Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs (PGPA). He appreciated the cooperation of the State officials in the course of the execution of the project and other previous ones.
