On the 23rd of October, 2019 during the commissioning and handing over of a block of six classrooms, built for the Ajiran Community Primary School, The Government of Lagos State and the Ajiran Community thanked the Agbami Field Parties and the NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture for their contributions towards improving the quality of education in Nigeria. The intervention also included the donation of a portable water system and the sand filling of the Ajiran Primary School compound.
The block of classrooms is a community project powered by all the Agbami Field Parties including FAMFA Oil Limited, Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited, Petroleo Brasileiro Nigeria Limited (Petrobras), Equinor Nigeria Limited and NNPC/NAPIMS.
The handover event attracted many dignitaries including the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu who was represented by The Director of the Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mrs. Shijuade Idowu Tiamiyu; The Ojomu of Ajiran Community, Oba Tijani Adetunji Akinloye; The Executive Chairman, Eti Osa Local Government Council, Mr Saheed Adesegun Bankole ; Eti Osa Constituency 1 Lagos State House of Assembly Representative, Mr Noheem Babatunde Adams and The Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo who was represented by Mrs. Abiola Akibu.
The classroom project was donated in fulfillment of the Agbami Field Parties corporate social responsibility to the society which is aimed at working with the government to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the country.
