The Agbami field is a unique oil field that scored many firsts in the history of Nigeria’s deepwater offshore terrain. The Agbami FPSO is one of the largest facilities of its type ever constructed which was designed to handle 250,000 bopd. Agbami field achieved first oil production on the 28th of July 2008 with peak production of 250,000 bopd achieved on 13 August 2009 and the highest monthly average oil production of 249,600 bopd was recorded in April, 2011.
The Agbami field has consistently surpassed every expectation ever since and it reached a laudable milestone of ten (10) great years of consistent crude oil production on 28 July 2018. This coincided with OML 127 Concessionaire, Famfa Oil Ltd lifting a cargo of crude oil aboard vessel MT Cap Diamant.
A total of circa 823.7 mmbbl have been produced from the Agbami field in its first ten (10) years of crude oil production.
