Report On the Mother, Child Referral Centers And General Hospital Bolori 2, Built in Konduga Lga, Borno State Held Virtually On 26th August, 2021

The Agbami partners, FAMFA Oil Limited, Star Deepwater Petroleum Limited, Prime, NNPC and Equinor donated two fully furnished Mother, Child Referral Centres and a General Hospital to Konduga local government in Borno State.

The meeting started at 11.00 am and was hosted by Star DeepWater’s Community Engagement Representative, Mrs Joy Emeghara. She introduced the representatives of each partner of which included the GGM of NAPIMS, Mr Bala Wunti represented by Mrs Bunmi Lawson, the Director of Star Deepwater Petroleum, Mr Bobby Hulett,
Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, represented by the Commissioner of Health, Mrs Julina Bitrus and Chairman of FAMFA Oil represented by Tobi Omiwade.

Mr Bala Wunti, Group General Manager, NAPIMS, represented by Mrs Bunmi Lawson noted that the project is a fruit of partnership, in fulfilment of their corporate responsibility and focus on health care for internally displaced persons towards better health care for the state.

Honourable Mrs Julina Bitrus who represented the Governor of Oyo State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum commended the Agbami parties for the new work done towards this project and for their kind support towards the efforts at combating health care for the less privileged in Nigeria. He further charged the staff of the facility
to make effective use of the facility and gave assurance that the government will ensure the facility is maintained efficiently.

A video and picture tour of the Mother and child care centres and the General Hospital was presented by the Manager, Policy Government and Public Affairs, Star DeepWater, Mr Thomas Akagbosu. He stated the project was awarded in 2018 and was completed successfully without any harm to any staff despite the insecurity in the
state of Borno. He also stated the facilities are provided with a 100KVA generator set and a borehole and also included a Post Natal Ward, Pre Natal Ward, General Ward, Ultra Sound, Paediatrics Ward, Theatre 1 and 2, Anesthetics Recovery Room and a Pharmacy.

Closing Remarks were made by the Permanent Secretary of Health, Doctor Mohammed Ghuluze. He stated he and the State was appreciative of the efforts towards the facilities provided by the Agbami partners.
