Overview
The Ikija field, an oil and gas accumulation discovered in 2000, is located approximately 25 kilometers southwest of the Agbami field in a water depth of around 1,850 meters (6,066 feet). This field represents a significant opportunity to enhance our production capabilities and optimize resource utilization.
Current Status
The field appraisal well maturation for the Ikija development is currently ongoing. This critical phase involves extensive data collection and analysis to ensure the feasibility and success of the project.
Development Strategy
Our primary objective with the Ikija field is to assess a tie-back development strategy. This involves connecting the Ikija field to the existing Agbami Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) facility. By leveraging the available ullage on the Agbami FPSO, we aim to efficiently and economically bring the Ikija field into production.
Strategic Benefits
- Optimized Resource Utilization: Utilizing the spare capacity on the Agbami FPSO allows us to maximize production from the Agbami Unit.
- Increased Production: The development of the Ikija field will contribute to a significant increase in OML 127 production.
- Increased Production: The development of the Ikija field will contribute to a significant increase in OML 127 production.
- Cost Efficiency: This strategy is designed to lower the cost per barrel, enhancing the overall economic efficiency of our operations.
